The Sole of the City 10k is a challenging but rewarding course. The first 3 miles let you settle in to a good pace, then you hit a full mile uphill for mile 4, and you coast downhill for most of mile 5-6. The course is picturesque taking you through many beautiful parts of the city including a park. The finish takes you up a slight uphill but the energetic crowd at the end pulls you through that last big push. I was proud of my effort in the race and hit another goal of the year with achieving a sub 39 time, another new PR to add to the list of 2026 accomplishments.
The post race party was also a lot of fun. There’s many vendors to check out and space to hang out with friends. I was super proud of my coaching group at this race and enjoyed spending time at the after party with them. Charm City Run races always remind me how much I love the local running community and how great it is to have a chance to be immersed in a welcoming environment. I’ll definitely be coming back to this race!
